Rachel Pearl

Lately, I’ve been discovering all sorts of Nashville artists. Each one I find, I seem to love and this one is no exception. Rachel Pearl is a talented singer who could only be described as completely unique. When I listen to her music, I hear Billie Holiday back in her heyday. Though, I wasn’t a huge jazz fan prior to discovering Rachel, she has turned me into one. I can’t get enough of her voice and overall classy vibe.

Here she is performing a cover by Katy Perry, making it completely her own.

First, love what you’re doing with Sounds That Matter, and Second…I dig this version, sounds very Regina Spektor-ish with the style she uses her voice. Very talented artist.

L.O.V.E. this:) I love Rachel, and LOVE you Crystal:) Great blog.

I will totes admit that it’s Miss Rachel Pearl that got me on the kick of doing extreme pop tunes as fun jazzy covers;)
